Our customer is buying brass cartridge cases from the military, preparing them for reloading, and selling them in 500 and 1,000-piece lots. The cases are dirty, corroded and powder-burned when they come in.
B. Dash built a single-drum tumbler. It’s still in service but can’t keep up with demand, so we designed and built this machine which has tripled their throughput.
Each drum is loaded with 21 pounds of cartridge cases (about 1500 rounds), 4 gallons of water, 12 pounds of stainless steel media, and surfactant and detergent. After fours hours of slow tumbling the brass comes out looking like new.
